I worked with homeless at shelters in Seattle, San Francisco and Oakland… and I’ve seen all types. From the out of work and temporary homeless fighting to “get back to normal”, to those with mental illness who end up homeless and needing help all the way to those who I’d consider professional homeless. Sometimes they work full time jobs, under the table, and just dislike certain things about “normal lives” and sometimes they are just comfortable living the way they do…
But a few times I’ve met people like this girl. Working the system, and loving it. Lying to everyone, including themselves, and when caught blame everyone but themselves.
