I got asked to write a review on a website… something I don’t normally do. But I have a couple friends graduating with their masters/bacholers plus going into teaching which has interested me. And the site in this case was something that was related. In getting into college you need to do several things to meet requirements. One of the hardest being writing the Admissions Essay. I’ve been a good bullshitter, but when trying to be correct and at the same time write correctly. Well as you all well know, I’m not the greatest writer at times.
So it was with interest I got asked to look over a site aptly and quite simply named Admissions Essays. They handle one job… it just begs to know if they do it well. For their well/expensively priced services they offer several levels and options. The ones I were interested in was the one where they have their Editors critique, analyze, and proofread them (the essay) to make them truly stand out.
But they also do the fill the blank and let their writers expand on and write the essay themselves. I wonder if the written essays would pass the inspection test? After all school teachers use services like Turn It In to scan essays and determine if they’ve been falsely wrtten. Either plagerized or just a little too well written. With a very large success rate in finding fake writing I wonder if the “They Write” option would be detectable or not.
All in all, if you need someone professional to go over your essay…. and don’t feel like asking someone, say your english teacher, then I’d say pony up and have a professional look it over. As for having them write it, I’m not sure I would go for it.

I agree I would be leery of asking someone to write an essay for me, although it’s always helpful to have a fresh set of eyes acting as an editor. If English isn’t your first language, though, I could see how their might be a temptation to use a service to actually write your essay too.
