Scooby-Doo, Yogi Bear and Tom & Jerry hang their heads, Joe Barbera dead age 95

Animator Joe Barbera, co-creator with Bill Hanna of Yogi Bear, the Flintstones, The Jetsons, Scooby-Doo, and Tom and Jerry, died today. He was 95.

I’m of the “X,Y,Z” Generation. I grew up watching Tom & Jerry and the Jetsons, I used to race home to watch Scooby Doo and the Globe Trotters save the Amusement Park and the old lady, and generally entertain me. Hann and Barbera made some of the best, most entertaining cartoons of my day, and today is a sad day.
