I’ve just installed the Bad Behavior Plugin. Viperbond kept speaking so highly about it, and when he noted that they just released version 2 I went ahead and tracked it down.
In talking to him he had noted that it had dropped his spam load by the hundreds. I’m not getting that many, but anything to drop it down will be worth it. So if you are running a Wordpress install and are having spam issues go ahead and download it. If you aren’t a Wordpress user but are somehwhat PHP literate, you’ll find installs aready worked out for other platforms and instructions for using it with your php blog software.

BTW - For those looking… what out for this browser string “sna-0.0.1 mikeelliott@hotmail.com” It’s a bot harvesting emails. I’ve seen one scavaging my site today. Note the only place my email is posted… it’s posted ina way to require some thinking.
