Olympics in HD

I wanted to go and buy a HD TV so that we could catch the Super Bowl and the Olympics in HD… only to get shot down. Something about not having enough money, wives could be such realists.

I ran acrossed this great blog about the NBC filming of the Olympics. It’s centered a lot around the HD side since it’s a tech from that writing. But since it’s all filmed in HD he goes over a lot.

I am a broadcast engineer working on the Torino Olympics production for NBC. I worked the Athens Olympics, and was asked back to work at NBC Olympics headquaters in Stamford, CT., and flew to Torino at the end of January to work on setting up the edits at my venue.

The Tech is amazing and there are some great pictures (and links to different venue picts). So go ahead and visit the HDOlympics Blog and be as immersed as I am.
